Tractor Picture Smocking Design
And here he is ready for Santa in his
Christmas romper...This is the "O
Christmas Tree" pattern. Nicole says
she had to crop it down to fit the
pattern. If any of you have that
problem in the future, email me and
let me know the size panel you need
and I will, if possible, resize the
design. Hearing from you will also
help me design future plates that
will better fit your needs.
Thank you Nicole for another job
well done!!
Great Job Nicole!!
Nicole Rayburn, of Alabama was kind enough to share pictures of her son
and Smocking project with us. Says that after taking classes at S&R
Sewing in Huntsville, she felt confident enought to tackle her first outfit!
A Childrens Corner "Jeffery" Pattern was used and she made her own
piping. I quote, "I wouldn't say this is an easy project, but if I can do it , it
can't be that hard"!
Dear Elizabeth
I enclosing a picture of the baby quilt I
made with the design you digitised for me
of the large sunbonnet. The design has
sewn out perfect and I'm sure you will
agree it looks superb. I am very grateful
for all your help in making it possible
Many thanks
Best wishes
I received this very nice letter from Irene
Connolly. She needed this design digitized
in a large frame but it was so busy that the
sweet Sunbonnet was completely lost! In
order to make her show up we had to do a
triple hooping!
But it was worth it...It turned out beautiful...
The finished size was 12" x 12"
Thank you Irene for letting us show your
beautifull quilt...you did a beautiful job!
I apologize for the picture, it's a
little greenish, but this is the 2
piece white crinkle cotton I have
on my Blanks page. I took one of
them and put my Tropical Fish on
it...It turned out cute hu?
This is the top and bottom of a quilt I put together for a
friends baby...I used appliques of
"Circus, Circus" and "Stuffed Toys".
I used yellow strips and inserted yellow rickrack in each square.
I photographed it beforeI had the quilting designs put in......
Cherie Schneider sent me this picture of a dress she made using the free Elephant Smocking.. Good work Cherie, you did a fantastic job of lining up the 3 hoopings.

This is one of the plates I bought from you but without the little flowers in the center of the design, I left those off as I didn't think they went with this particular fabric selection. I just left the pleating threads in, on the unsmocked middle area!!!! Sara used the "Floral" Smocking design. Notice the pleats how perfect they are....You did an outstanding job Sara!

My Florida Gator Dress
I used your Gator smocking plate (just no
birds) and changed the threads so they
matched UF's Orange and Blue colors....we
were quite pleased with how nicely it came
out-now I just have to make one for Fiona:)
The pattern is the Valentine's dress in #104
SB--with a few minor alterations:)
I was really pleased with how nicely this
plate stitched out!
Cherie (Schneider)
